As a class tutor of level one students I use facebook as a communication channel to communicate with them and I also use facebook as a notice board to announce supplementary examination information. In this way student could obtain exam info without back to school in summer holiday as well as we can interact with many students at the same time.

ReplyDeleteYes, the role of a secondary teacher is not only teaching subject knowledge, but also concerned on the growing of the children. I also use facebook as a media to understand their live after school.

Yes, utilities like FaceBook and msn is always a more favourable communication channel for students. My school has employed eClass and I have uploaded reference materials in my "Classroom" so that students can download whenever they want. Nonetheless, most students like to ask me to send him via msn......

Students are used to use what they favorable and familiar with, as I use Facebook” not only for communication channel as well as school administration. There are some students are reluctant to use the WebCT system, they addressed that the WebCT system is too complicated to them and the user interface is also not user friendly as those popular application.
